Sunny Side Boat Ramp
January 1st- December 31st
PERMIT - for Trailer (Permit not required for canoes & kayaks but must park in upper lot)
1. Issued yearly at City Clerk's office, 54 Hill Street, Shelton.
2. Yearly Fee: Resident =$50 (Must live in Shelton, not just pay Shelton taxes)
Non-Resident =$175 Ordinance Sec. 11-36 and 37
Residents wishing to use picnic are may do so at no cost, but must park vehicles on upper driveway.
3. In order to obtain a permit the following must be presented and will be recorded in the City Clerk's office.
a. Boat Registration
b. Trailer Registration
c. Safe Boating Certificate (SBC) or a Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO or PWO)

4. The decal permit must be permanently affixed to the trailer holding the boat or personal watercraft
5. The Boat Ramp permit is not transferable to another person. Loss of ramp usage will be the penalty for any violators.
6. Vehicles without proper decal permit are subject to a $100.00 fine.
Parking
1. Parking is reserved for permit vehicles with trailers only.
2. Overflow parking will be in front of Sunnyside School.
3. Parking is prohibited adjacent to the Little League Stadium
4. Persons parking along the right side of the access road by the softball fields, run the risk of having their car damaged by a baseball or softball.
5. The City "Dusk to Dawn Curfew" will be in effect and any and all violators will be subject to police action and $100.00 fine.
6. The Boat Launch area will be controlled on weekends and holidays by Parks and Recreation personnel. Police will patrol at other times.
Ramp & Beach Area
1. The ramp area is to be used for launching and boarding only.
2. Do not tie up ramp or leave boat unattended for a long period of time.
3. Swimming and water skiing are prohibited from the ramp area and beach area.
4. Please dispose of refuse properly.
5. Animals (pets) must be leashed at all times.
6. Motorized vehicles are prohibited from parking in the grass picnic area.
